Website Design Contract
Website Design Contract
Parties
This agreement is between Natalie Verhoek T/A Integrated Web Solutions Australia (“Designer”) and INSERT CLIENT NAME (“Client”).
Scope of Work
- The Designer will create a website per the agreed “Quote.” Any modifications must be requested in writing for an amended Quote to reflect official project obligations.
Payment Terms
- A 1st instalment (amount at the discretion of the Designer, usually 50% of project value) is required upon project acceptance.
- A 2nd instalment (balance) is sent 2 weeks after notification of Website First Preview is sent to the Client.
Onboarding
- Client must complete an onboarding form in full (and provide all information, images, logos etc requested) before the project officially commences.
- Please ensure to answer all questions on the onboarding form – if you are uncertain of any questions, please contact the Designer.
- Website hosting environment – if the Designer encounters hosting issues beyond their control, the Client must resolve them or authorise the Designer to coordinate with the hosting provider on their behalf.
Project Timeline & Previews
- The timeline will be estimated by the Designer, after the Onboarding Form and requested information/images are received; however, this is an approximation and may be subject to change, without the Client having the right to cancel the project.
- Designer will provide a “Website First Preview Report” at the first preview stage.
Website First Preview (Final Payment, Revisions & Approval)
- Client is entitled to revisions (as agreed).
- Revisions will be provided for errors made by the Designer or where content created by the Designer requires changes.
- If content needs to be revised, the Client must provide the updated text in a Word document. The Designer will copy and paste it exactly as provided and is not responsible for further modifications thereafter.
- Any extra revisions deemed by the Designer to be outside of original project scope may incur additional costs.
- The invoice for the 2nd installment (balance) of the project will be forwarded to the Client 2 weeks following them having received the “Website First Review Report”. Ideally the Client will have replied back to the Website First Preview prior to this and all amendments will have been applied to the project, prior to the 2nd installment invoice being sent.
Handover
- The website will be handed over after completing all work within the scope of the project and any associated revisions.
- Any additional work beyond the agreed Scope of Work may be included at the Designer’s discretion, time permitting. Such work will be invoiced separately for immediate payment.
- The Client will receive a “Project Handover Report” containing all necessary information and access details.
Ownership & Rights
- Upon full payment, client owns the final website design.
- Designer retains the right to showcase the work in their portfolio.
Cancellation & Refunds
- If the Client cancels mid-project, the Designer will determine any refund or outstanding balance based on work completed.
Agreement
- Upon making payment of 1st instalment, this confirms acceptance and agreement by the Client to this contract.
